My cats lost their bedroom privileges because I can’t get any sleep if they’re allowed in. They don’t seem to care beyond scratching at the Original i’m Cali Was Born With My heart On My Sleeve Fire In My Soul T-Shirt Apart from…,I will love this door for breakfast in the morning. It’s not bad to prioritise yourself 🙂 my cats are banned from my bedroom when I am trying to sleep. They can hang out with me any other time of the day but at bedtime, they have the run of the house but not my room. Every morning about 2 hours before my alarm goes off, one of our house goblins decides that it’s hecking time, and he starts climbing all over my wife and I got attention. Knocking my glasses off the bedside table. Purring and chirping. All that. On the one hand, it’s cute. On the other, it’s 4:30 and I would like to sleep. He gets exiled to the living room to chill with his big brother. I feel bad, but I prefer sleeping a normal amount to not.

It’s called “kitty Olympics” and they start their practice sessions anywhere from 2 am until 6 am. It’s your fault you weren’t able to help. Cats are nocturnal so he’s totally normal. Always prioritize your rest and health. When you’re rested, you can be a great cat Mommy! Swapped out the Original i’m Cali Was Born With My heart On My Sleeve Fire In My Soul T-Shirt Apart from…,I will love this lever-style door knob for a round one? No problem, she figured out how to jump up and hang from it until she could twist it just enough to open the door. Sometimes our female cat will cry at the door and I’ll go out and give her pets and snuggles for like 10 minutes — that usually calms her down and puts us all back to sleep. As someone who has three nocturnal assholes (all of whom I love with all my heart) to fight every night, I am so not judging anyone for doing this. Mine has full access to 90% of the house. That 10% of my bedroom is for me alone to sleep peacefully at night because a cranky sleep deprived cat parent means no one is happy. An hour of him sleeping on me would be nice but I’m not trading 4 hours of sleep for that. I will unceremoniously (but carefully) hurl my cats out my bedroom door due to 3am zoomies – you’re alright mom. I’ve been doing that recently. Hers isn’t always zoomies—lately it’s been knocking over stuff on the nightstand, chewing on cords, etc to get my attention. She seems to get the hint when I shut her out. Sometimes you just gotta sleep.
