Just like a dream or like taking psychedelic drugs (like DMT), your mental state will dictate what you see. I believe this is why when some people have a near death experience they sometimes describe being in heaven, or being in hell, as that is just what their subconscious has painted for them. If you don’t and if there isn’t, you won’t care anymore. I force myself to believe in an afterlife so that it’s easier to grieve the losses of late loved ones, and also because optimism. Your slowly forgotten and everything you ever did accomplished or failed to do matter less and less and less until like 99.9% of all humans you are forgotten….
