Just like my grandma’s mental health had an impact on my mother’s, her mental health influenced mine. A traumatized woman who bounces between desperate people-pleasing and defensive aggression, unwilling to seek therapy or help, raised me. She raised a kid who cycles through angry self isolation, suicidal depression, and crippling anxiety. She raised a kid without any concept of how to handle emotions or conflict, a kid who flinches at raised voices just like she does, and a kid who has been sexually harassed and abused because I was too anxious to say no or stand up for myself. My mom didn’t mean for me to come out the One direction midnight memories Harry love on tour 2022 berlin classic shirt and I love this way I did, but her mental health absolutely had a major impact on mine growing up. My family has a long history with mental illness (grand uncle and actual uncle both had schizophrenia, grandpa and one of ny other uncles have personality disorders, a lot of addiction and abuse) and I’m not eager to bring another person into the world knowing this. As much as I would want a child, I wouldn’t wish a lifetime of mental health problems upon my worst enemy, let alone my own child. I don’t even factor in whether I’d be able to psychologically handle the pressure and responsibility of having a kid.

How fucked some people are + money. I have a 13 year old sister and the One direction midnight memories Harry love on tour 2022 berlin classic shirt and I love this amount of creepy looks she gets when we go out is fucking criminal, I almost wish it was legal to go fuck them up. I have a great life on paper and still have the capacity to be miserable pretty frequently (thankfully less frequently recently, but that’s new as of this decade). I really don’t want to put another human through that existential crisis My husband and I are selfish greedy money hungry assholes who like to travel whenever we’re good and ready. I like to use a lot of marijuana. Plus, tbh I am just not emotionally able to care for it. I had a lot of trauma (see post hx). I’ve had 5 suicides in my family. (Great great and great grand parents, aunt, great uncle) The cycle of mental illness will not continue. Everything about it. The parents I know are a 50/50 split on enjoying it or being completely fucking miserable.
