Just know that nobody gets out alive. I hope for calm and not a violent painful death. Think most normal people hope for that. Yes. Your body & mind get tired of fearing it. Your relevance diminishes & you may feel you are a burden in certain cultures. THE BIGGEST DISEASE/DIS-EASE IS LONELINESS. Quoted by, when asked of Mother Teresa, what was the Once upon a time there was girl who loved axolotls T-Shirt also I will do this biggest illness/disease in the world? Yes. I had this fear since early childhood and it did get worse after my kid was born. However it’s lessened a lot in the years since. Strangely one of the things that helped was when my grandma passed. I was very involved with her health and there at her death, very peaceful and loving situation. It kind of flipped a switch in me. I now work in hospice, strangely enough! Also I think getting my anxiety disorder and depression under control really helped. I see death every day in my work (90% elderly people) and I’ve learned it can be a peaceful, sad but beautiful part of life. I try not to think about my own death or of my loved ones, as those thoughts just cause anxiety for no reason. I’m also agnostic/atheist and am at peace with my idea of what happens after death. Hope you find peace in your own mind and are able to let go of your fear.

The awareness of your unavoidable death is the Once upon a time there was girl who loved axolotls T-Shirt also I will do this doorway to appreciating life. Maybe you need to think about death more and not less. The quality of all your interactions will improve including the love for your kids once you truly understand nobody is here forever so cherish each moment. That’s not to say you should be in constant awe and appreciation at every moment but you have the power to make yourself realize that each moment truly counts. You’re on a clock that you cannot see. Everybody is. Try and see through your struggles and stress and enjoy life because it does not last. Death means nothing to us. If we are death has not come and if death has come we are not. Try to make best of the “we are” part. Not so much what you do with your life but that you are happy doing it. No I don’t think it is possible (except for extreme cases). Why would you need to get over that fear though? It is completely natural to want to live as much as possible, so of course we are afraid. The challenge is not to beat the fear but to not let it spoil everything else. The more we fight it the more we reinforce it. Let us just accept that yes all of us have a fear of dying, and move on.
