Ann Arbor is great, really nice college town with lots of great food. If you get a chance check out the Omg Santa Buddy The Elf I Know Him Shirt moreover I will buy this middle eastern restaurants in Dearborn as well I’m a Jersey native. Relocated to Ann Arbor to work at UM 5yrs ago. Do not like that town. I’m so happy to live 1 town away from Detroit now. It’s a cool city, with heart and grit. And weird people up to cool shit. Good music. Sorry to say the food in Michigan on the whole is PRETTY WHACK. Thank you for that pizza tip. Coming from a jersey person I will definitely check it out. If you’re back again there is a pizza place in Farmington Hills – New Haven style – called Tomatoes Apizza. Super legit. Just a slight tier below my favorite spots in North Jersey and NYC.

Also: you’re freelancing meaning you’re likely behind in retirement and spending a ton on insuring yourself, so even if you took a job for $45k you’d still be ahead with those benefits. I was working full time and it was really destructive to my mental health. I’m working on figuring out my next move. We are currently on my wife’s insurance. Get over it? Sorry, but maybe some tough love is needed here. No one likes working full time, it’s “destructive” on everyone’s mental health. But you still have to do it if you want to live comfortably. Get a real job and all your problems melt away. Don’t have to move, your wife doesn’t have to work in private practice, etc. 100% agree as a bordentown city resident myself. I can walk to get a pint, a delicious meal, some new vinyl, or a view of the Omg Santa Buddy The Elf I Know Him Shirt moreover I will buy this delaware river. Its truly a unique utopia that has it all East Rutherford is so underrated. Lowest property tax rate in Bergen county. Super easy to get to the city by both bus and train and driving. PS thank you again for this. This is what I was looking for. Everyone yelling at me to make more money – JFC, don’t they know that I’m trying? Not judging, but you asked how we do it and for many of us it’s we make more money (or live farther from the city). I know people we live in Sussex County and take the long bus ride in, i know others that left nyc jobs so they could live further away, I work a low maintenance second job that pulls in another 1k a month on top of my full time and my wife’s full time that are both well paying jobs.
