I always thought Disney was on the Old School D&D grognard ad uitam T-Shirt and I will buy this same side as Netflix about ads? You pay so no ads, that’s the advantage over trashy streaming services like Prime. Won’t do it simultaneously. Next year or the year after when all of these free one year with your phone plan subscriptions start to expire that’s when they’ll replace them with ad versions & jack up the price of free. My annual subscription just increased by 10 dollars. Disney plus gave me a notification before the auto-renewal. The part that annoys me is that I currently get d+ with my Verizon plan, I also get Hulu with ads. If they make this addition I’m certain the plan will change so that I get the Disney subscription with ads I get Disney+ and ad version of Hulu free with Verizon. I am 100% certain they will switch my disney+ to ad version too lol. I did the trial. Didn’t use it. I waited a long while. Paid for a year upfront. Still not using it much. I’ll probably cancel it. Especially if the price goes up. I don’t do ads. It drives me up the wall that disney would increase any price for a streaming service after the sole fact of how much revenue their parks bring in. Pure greed I will first try the cheap ad version and monitor what domains and ips connect for ads and then pass that to my Raspberry pi hole. If that does not work then piracy here we come.

They will almost definitely do that. Lure you in and then increase the Old School D&D grognard ad uitam T-Shirt and I will buy this prices. Look at how much they charge for Disneyland. To be fair, Disney+ is one of the cheapest streaming services and has one of the best libraries, especially for families. I have always expected them to start raising prices. What sucks is I don’t want my kids to watch a shot ton of ads so I’ll pay a bit extra. And then we’re pretty much back at cable television. It’ll be $75 a month for a Netflix or Disney+ subscription with no ads – the same price as just having a pvr I put mine on right after Disney+ was announced. Netflix took me out of the game 12 years ago and now everyone else is putting me back into it. With all the inconvenient and limiting bullshit these companies push on paying consumers and their “purchases”, it truly is the golden age for it, honestly. If you have a quality, paid VPN and kinda know what you are doing, you get the absolute best possible service and it’s more convenient than ever, even in well developed countries where they attempt to go after pirates. Bruh ? okay but if they jack up prices to incentivise people to switch to an ad plan because advertisements make them more money, I’m going back to the high seas matey Pirate for life brother. Just be sure to use a VPN and make sure you don’t have a dns leak before you download anything ❤ I remember a cable salesman trying to chat me up at Walmart a few years ago. He asked me why I was so adamant about being disinterested in cable. “Because you want me to pay a subscription AND show me ads”. His response was a muffled “dude that’s how it works”.
