Dude is so out of touch with reality and believes any idea he has is the Okay groomer Disney Shirt and by the same token and fucking greatest. He did start with obsessing about his own version of hotornot.com, why not obsess about other versions of his other own(ed) realities too. Honestly I’d rather be in any oculus game than Facebook, so…yeah. Enjoy it before it’s full of ads and your mom. Every thing I’ve read about the Metaverse makes me think of the internet from Futurama, but without the flying. Okay, I really, really don’t understand this. Is metaverse a VR only thing? Facebook and most social media is so successful because its Free, and it only requires you phone or your computer. So if this metaverse requires you to buy a VR type gadget to access, doesn’t this kind of kill the whole thing due to the face that most people don’t own a VR type gadget, or at least an adequate one which you can interact with the metaverse seamlessly. So then, my second question is.. what the difference between this vs something like Sony home? Other than the fact you seemingly need to buy a lot of things with actual cash? I guess it all boils down to whether this is a niche type thing vs a globally accessible platform.

Third question. In its perfect form, is the Okay groomer Disney Shirt and by the same token and metaverse supposed to be something like the world in “ready player one?”. If it is.. then great, but first and foremost, that thing was a gaming platform no? I don’t think our tech is ready for that? Not at an accessible level at least. It’s the future of meetings and gaming. Will the metaverse be it? Doubtful. The syle will change several times before its accepted. I mean, he made billions off of the worst social network currently on the market…imagine the dollar signs he sees from wiring you in?! He’s jumping the gun, never rush new technology and it’s integration to society. If anything he’s bound to get slapped up lol. This is going to flop. Remember a time when we had to actually sit in front of a computer and go online. Cell phones now have us online while waiting for a movie to start etc.. the VR kinda puts us back to stopping our daily life and physically going somewhere to use the technology. When tje VR headsets first came out for our phones I used mine for about a week then threw it in the closet with the extra computer and AV cables. We cannot just despise his idea. In general, he is right, the virtual space will expand, and naturally he wants his fair share. The metaverse is not a technology. It’s a vibe. There’s no new idea here, just the assumption that the line can only go up Honestly if your company was known for just hosting batshit people and theories and your investors tell you that this VR alternate life is the only way the company will exist in 10 years…
