I get that, but does Alito even mention the Oingo Boingo T-Shirt but in fact I love this 9th amend? I’m not a lawyer, I’m not going to read those 90 pages myself. none of the justices supporting this should be able to show their face anywhere in public for the rest of their days. Well, since they want to change the constitution maybe it’s time we, the people, change the constitution so justices serve 4-6 year terms. The biggest mistake was allowing them to rule for life. Fucking stupid to think a human would have everyone’s best interests other than for themselves. If we learn something from this, is that men will only govern in their benefit. Get those little men with small ? energy out of power. That’s the way forward. Also, how in the hell did we get from Dobbs v. Jackson about cutting off abortion at 15 weeks to completely obliterating Roe v. Wade as a precedence? The original case wasn’t to end abortion, just severely curtail it, because Mississippi is a backwards hellscape that thinks that is a good idea.

We’re going to lose all sorts of power because of the Oingo Boingo T-Shirt but in fact I love this minority and apparently the majority power is just willing to sit and take it. Because of Manchin and Sinema the Dems don’t hold a majority in the senate and cannot force change. Too bad there are so few R’s that have any guts and put people ahead of party. A podcast I listened to said it best: this is just trolling. The draft opinion said things specifically to upset liberals, they don’t care about being logical, consistent, or rational. Like how they cited Ruth Bader Ginsberg a lot while doing things she obviously would have been against. Alito is known for his contempt for people who disagree with him. It’s literally just his style. He is a judicial troll.
