Those that don’t live in shelters still live on the Official Speed Campbell Shirt Furthermore, I will do this streets, wearing lots of layers of clothing that they never take off. If they do take them off they are likely to get stolen. They smell pretty bad. A surprising number actually go south for the winter, catching busses to Miami or Tampa. They panhandle until October or so, catch a Bolt Bus somewhere warm, then come back around May. Yeah, homeless snowbirds are really a thing. Because of the right-to-shelter law (unique to NYC), the city has a much higher rate of sheltered homeless than other jurisdictions. Jail psychologist here. We tend to see an uptick in petty crime among homeless during colder months. Judge more or less has to send them because if they don’t the homeless dude will basically be like what, do I have to murder someone?

Official Speed Campbell Shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

Years ago, I remember a story about a man who had spent most of his life in prison for murder. By the Official Speed Campbell Shirt Furthermore, I will do this time he got out, he had no family, criminal record, was too old to do much, and ended up homeless. Freezing and hungry, he made a decision. He robbed a bank, very apologetically, and as kindly as he could. Gun and everything. Straight back to prison, where he eventually died, warm and with a full belly. People do what they have to. Yup. I can’t say I don’t judge anyone but for a majority of people, as long as they’re cool in here, I don’t really care what they did or allegedly did on the outs. When it’s super cold the homeless shelter will set up emergency beds in something like a school gym or other large but warm place. A friend/acquaintance/fsmily member might be more willing to let you crash on their couch than they would in the summer.
