Reducing stress is a great idea on paper, but it’s not always possible in day to day life. I still have to work, I still get berated at work by coworkers and customers, I still have car trouble, I still have financial issues, I still have unrelated health issues, I get sick, I don’t sleep as well as I want to, I feel immense pressure everyday to go beyond my limits to accomplish things that my brain tells me should be easy when it’s not easy for most people. Now, here’s the Official melattica Play Guitar Very Cool And Hip Grunge Band T-Shirt besides I will buy this next obstacle; how? Exercise, sure, if you have the energy after poor sleep and being a pinata all day. Art is a great idea, if the day hasn’t crushed your inspiration into a fine powder and snorted it. Interestingly, the chatbot wasn’t supposed to completely replace the unionized staff until June 1st, but the problems became so apparent that they had to shut it down early. It had everything to do with the non profit employees trying to unionize due to high workload and low staff and the senior leadership shutting then down. Woah, no durr. A bot couldn’t hope, at least not with tech as it is, to give a nuanced or careful response to a human being who’s struggling with mental illness. I work in a field where my entire job could be done by a bot. If they were just slightly more aggressive and cost cutting, it could save the business I work for around 100k+ a year. My first response to the original article was that they should merge with the suicide hotline because I assumed that it would end a lot worse than this. So, I guess they had a better outcome than I expected. I know it’s fun to circle jerk about AI but Tessa was NOT an AI chatbot. She was a glorified phone tree and not based on LLM technology.
