When I finally came to look six months later it had grass growing up through the Official Denver Broncos Mickey Donald Duck And Goofy Football Team 2024 shirt moreover I love this engine, dog hairs and stink all over the interior and would not start. i basically lost a parked car to the fact it was inside but the garage floor was some shit cement that would turn color every time it rained. turns out the floor acted as a giant humidifier rusting the bottom of the parked car. yeah gave up a garage to park a car just to basically humidify the thing to rust – mechanic said he could poke a screwdriver through the floor. this was Illinois. Honestly you should be mildly infuriated at yourself for not buying a car cover and making sure the windows were rolled up before leaving for a year. Unless your mom was driving it around while you were gone that seems like something you as the owner should have double checked before leaving for that long. Your car was not destroyed by mould. It was destroyed by leaving the windows open and allowing the ingress of water. This is a flood car. Unless it was filled with rotting food to accelerate mould growth.

Unless it was filled with rotting food to accelerate mould growth. If you really want to revive it you could hunt for a clean junkyard interior, everything fabric would have to be replaced but plastics can be saved with the right cleaning products, you would have to clean out vents too I noticed in some comments there was talks about reviving the car, and as someone who loves putting money into old clunkers, I gotta say this one isn’t it. With the KMs, and the fact it sat so long, you seriously are looking at at least $2000 to get this thing drivable. The parts that require frequent movement will most likely all need to be replaced like brakes, most fluids, bearings, suspension. The interior is done for. As a detailer, if someone came to me with that job, my first question would be “who’s your nearest scrap yard” you won’t want to get in there to replace it, and if you do, you’ll for sure miss the spots that have mold like under the dash, the hvac system, and more. For $500 you really could just buy another one of these with less KM that would maybe require new brakes. It sucks, but the health hazard alone isn’t worth trying anything here
