They moved away for a better paying job. They were going to pay to have it stored somewhere, but their mother literally begged to have them store it with her instead. All the Official Arizona Cardinals Mickey Donald Duck And Goofy Football Team 2024 shirt so you should to go to store and get this mother had to do was run it on occasion and not let it get swampy inside. Just airing it out on occasion would have prevented the mold. I bought a car with an interior like this from a friend that had been sitting for a while. A lot of vacuuming and some scrubbing, but this can be taken care of in a day. I was gone for a summer abroad in college, and my mother smoked cigarettes in my car even though I specifically asked her not to. “Unstoppable 2005 Corolla”….I may or MAY NOT have brought back a rental 2023 Corolla with its transmission in limp mode, to test out that famous “Toyota Realiability” people speak of. As it turns out, if you drive approximately 55 MPH and AcCiDeNtAlLy move the shifter to Park, the transmission teeth/gears will grind LOUDLY, while the car slowly coasts to a stop.

Did you mom just make shit up? The only time I’ve ever seen mold like this in a car (and it was half as bad as yours) was when my aunts car was found after she died. It had been sitting in her garage for about 5-7 years. If it’s an asset that I care for, I would definitely keep my tabs on it. In fact that’s what I do. I call and check if it has been started occasionally, if it’s got some new fuel and run about, checked the tire pressure and maybe even an oil change (depending on the time I’m away). Its heartbreaking to see a car that you’ve had for ages being like this. I’m so sorry this happened! My car recently died of mold too, a Subaru. I suspected it had a leak because it would sometimes feel a little damp inside after it rained, but my car guy couldn’t find anything (I was also dealing with horrible chronic pain and getting treatment for that, so I felt I’d exhausted my resources on the possible leak front). I had back surgery and couldn’t drive for awhile, and when I was cleared to drive again I opened my car to discover so much mold. It wasn’t as bad as this, but definitely visible and vast and on every surface. I called my insurance and filed a claim, they sent someone out who declared it totaled. Luckily I have good insurance and they paid out more than I had paid for the car 3.5 years prior (about $1k more, thanks to the terrible state of current used car prices vs 2020). Have you tried filing a claim with your insurance to see if there’s anything they can do about it? I actually ended up getting a Corolla after it was all said and done lol
