The riddles were super straightforward, making his Sherlock-type instant answers not very impressive, and at the Nyy gerrit cole heat vintage America flag shirt besides I will buy this end, he still failed to catch Riddler. Riddler gave himself up, and for no reason. Joker letting himself get caught in The Dark Knight was all part of his plan to mislead Batman into letting Rachel die and destroying the police station in the process. Riddler let himself get caught because…he likes the food at Arkham? The movie got super preachy and weird at the finale, making Batman a Jesus-type character, especially that shot of him leading the mayor-elect and a herd of people through the water. Yes, he’s supposed to be a savior, so showing that side was the right idea, but him helping the National Guard helicopter injured civilians away in broad daylight isn’t really part of the job description…and by the way, if the hero is supposed to save lives in the movie, then he was a failure of epic proportions. His inability to discover/stop Riddler’s plan to destroy the sea wall definitely killed tens of thousands of people in the ensuing flash flood.

At the Nyy gerrit cole heat vintage America flag shirt besides I will buy this end of the day, the first half and second half of The Batman felt like completely different movies. Either do a complete noir detective story and take that leap of faith that audiences will still appreciate that or just do a traditional action Batman movie. Melding the two with the city-scale threat and massive fight on the scaffold at the end felt extremely forced, like the studio thought people would hate it if there wasn’t a climax massive fight scene? That basically made the first two-thirds of the plot obsolete, as Riddler could’ve taken out Falcone at the mayor’s funeral and then skipped straight to step 5 of his plan by gunning down everyone at the mayor’s victory ceremony. I will say that there were things that I loved in this movie. The first 20 minutes were phenomenal building up the city and his relatively recent impact of criminals fearing just seeing the bat signal in the sky. Colin Farrell was excellent in his portrayal of Penguin (I didn’t even realize that it was him until after), especially the payoff with the waddle scene. Pattinson’s acting was pretty strong considering that he played the hand he was dealt by the writers and director.
