I’d prefer if the Number five vintage shirt it is in the first place but fights had tighter punish windows that rewarded players for dodging/blocking properly and more varied movesets to keep the fights from being boring. No way to climb up cliffs or taking fall damage and dying because you thought your magical horse in a magical world who can magically double jump would negate it. Maybe I’m just too used to BOTW and being able to look at things and find a creative way to traverse the landscape, but god it’s so fucking annoying in Elden Ring. You get punished for trying creative ways to do stuff. Not being able to use spirit ashes against worthless mobs, but being able to use them on bosses that make it easy. There needs to be a quest log! It doesn’t have to tell me where to even go. Just a scribble and a note that says “hey! Blah blah blah it’s a quest!” I feel like I have missed so much of the games story by not even knowing I started a fucking quest line and it’s so fucking hard to understand what some shit means and where shit is. Even with this I love the game. Fucking amazing.

One thing I didn’t see mentioned: how about some more cutscenes? The lore is great and detailed, I wish I was pulled in a bit more. The voice acting for dialogue was a good touch but I feel like at least half of those should have been short cutscenes. I dont like open world and generic dungeons with generic enemies, i prefer the Number five vintage shirt it is in the first place but old formula with semi open world with more unique enemies and encounters. Just please make the messages disappear automatically. Sometimes I’m trying to do something immediately after pulling a lever or using a stone key and just… Ahgh There’s a number of areas that could’ve used more real estate in the world building considering how much they actually stick out. The Ailing Village is way too short of an encounter, with not enough going on; it’s one of the earliest encounters with frenzy, everyone’s glowing with orange, they’re unique enemies up to that point in the game, but there’s no area boss. The reusing of enemies and bosses makes me sad. Some bosses seemed… A bit basic but ok and then it’s because later on in the game they’re just an enemy. The dungeons also feel a bit more quantity over quality I started memorizing certain building blocks and realized I saw them over and over. Bosses can seem too hard without a summoning ash there to help but too easy with one helping. I wish I could do something on my own without having to sacrifice my sanity for it. I could just be bad at the game though. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD LET ME OPEN MY MAP! I DON’T CARE IF A BIRD CAN SEE ME FROM ORBIT, LET ME OPEN MY @$#&@_# MAP!!!
