Hot take: We’re in a good time for gaming again, with Elden Ring and now Diablo IV hitting it out of the Novak Djokovic Kobe Bryant Mamba forever shirt and I love this park in successive years – some of the best game releases in my nearly 50 years of gaming. I had gotten bored with lackluster game releases in recent years but the magic is back (truly, I’ve learned it’s not me, it’s been you, game industry)… One of the best I’ve played, meticulous attention to detail, yet expansive and beautiful both audibly and visually. It’s rare for me not to turn off the in-game music, but Diablo’s is amazing. I played the original Diablo upon release when I was in university – it, along with Quake, Wolfenstein, and EverQuest really defined 90s gaming. I hope the quality and tone of D4 and Elden Ring set the standard for the next decade of gaming.

I will agree with some of the Novak Djokovic Kobe Bryant Mamba forever shirt and I love this complaints but the side quests one, I’ll never get. You’re not gonna reinvent the wheel people. It’s a sidequest. Terry will always need help finding her damn husband and some guys sheep keep getting nailed by wolves so kill 10 of them. This game is not the Witcher or Skyrim. You’re not gonna stealthily follow A khajit for 10 minutes finding where he’s hiding his skooma stash. Classic Diablo feel with all the perks of modern gaming technology. Good music, beautiful art, and top tier combat. Overall having a great time ! Currently level 21 without having finished the first act. I was surprised and happy with the amount of content that wasn’t focused on the main story. 10/10 so far! So far I’m really enjoing it, the combat is fun and challenging (world teir 2) The build potential are expansive, I’m playing druid and there are options I want to try out. The items offer a lot of build diversity as well, a given random legendary can shift your entire build or make you go down a different path. The passives in the tree also offer potential changes in build. The story is interesting and makes me want to know more as the world feels large. Ive seen some of the critisism and I guess I understand but I personally wasnt looking for the game to be ground breaking or to change the nature of Arpgs, I’d probably have been disappointed if it did. Its the core arpg experience polished and streamlined. I played path of exile, tourchlight, lost ark and others this takes the best parts of them and makes them cohesive.
