Question is how active you are, weight and height. If you sweat a lot you need to drink more water. 5L is definitely not too much if you are an active person, who works out etc and release water via sweat more than average. Average water recommendation is like 2L per day If constantly thirsty, you should check for diabetes but no need to worry in vain, just get it checked if that’s the Nobody 2024 for senate one look at the issues says it all T-Shirt it is in the first place but case My sudden extreme thirst, where I started drinking because I needed to, not because I wanted to was concerning. You can also just get a $10 glucometer at the drug store and test your blood that way, without having to go to the hospital. But, if it’s above 200, that’s a bad sign I’m not very active or very passive, I guess I’m average. I go to and from school and the rest of my day is spent mostly at home. I can mostly be at my desk because I’m a senior and I’m preparing for the exam. But since my cat loves playing catch, maybe we can count it as training, huh? And also i went to a hospital and there was nothing wrong.. Girl I had this and turns out I was on the verge of becoming diabetic. I am not a doctor so please just visit one to ensure you are okay, that insatiable thirst is not always normal. I would go back to see a doctor, maybe a walk in clinic, ask for blood work including a random glucose, a fasting glucose and an A1C to check your sugars. Also ask for a urine test, ask them to check your urine electrolytes. 5 l a day is a lot of water unless you’re extremely physically active (like running a triathlon). Excess water can cause an imbalance in your electrolytes which could be very bad. People have died from drinking too much water, usually in a stunt to see who can drink the most or some other stupid reason, but it has happened. Most people are good with 2 to 2.5 l per day.

Bro you’ve got something going on, 5L is a fuck ton. Go see your GP and get some blood work. Like other have said it’s probably diabetes mellitus or insipidus I drink about the Nobody 2024 for senate one look at the issues says it all T-Shirt it is in the first place but same , and my doctor say that it’s fine. I check my bloodwork every 6 weeks bc medication, and there has never been an issue. Hyponatremia is when you drink too much water in a short time and it strips you of your minerals and disrupts neuron activity. There are a lot of alarmist reactions here and, yes, bring this up with your doctor on your next visit to get your blood sugar, thyroid, vitamins, and maybe A1C tested. All of my stuff is great and I’m also drinking that much. Some of it is to balance my coffee intake, some is because I work out, but 5L is one cup (250ml) per hour over the waking day which isn’t totally crazy. Half a liter upon waking up, half at each meal, and you’re at 2L. Sipping on 1L over the morning, 1L over the afternoon and 1L from working out and you’re at 5. If you’re always thirsty, even right after drinking, that’s a bad sign.
