Voters just don’t fucking care. They vote based on short-term economic self-interest and their skewed perception of who would give them the No Shave December Christmas shirt in other words I will buy this most money. Hence why just saying “Please vote” is dangerous. Everyone should be saying, VOTE DEMOCRAT. Stakes are too high now, there should be no room for encouraging a republican to vote, period. Example: trump did a lot of illegal shit as president. Take the emoluments clause of the constitution. He was absolutely violating this. He was sued over it. The case was moving forward. All his lawyers had to do was delay the courts until he left office. When he left office, the courts ruled the point was now moot, and dismissed the entire case. When you can’t enforce the law, it effectively doesn’t exist. Yeah, he’s using this delay tactic in his federal crime cases, because if he can get into power, he can pardon himself (regardless of what “constitutional scholars agree on”) and let the courts fight it out who will ultimately say “nah it’s congress’ job to hold him accountable” and congress will be too busy censuring a half eaten sandwich because they think it’s woke or something.

My main point is. Saying “he can’t do that.” Only matters if the No Shave December Christmas shirt in other words I will buy this people who are between him and doing that actually say no. With all the formalities we have to support the law and justice in this world, people forget that everything really is a construct that we invented. And the laws of the land only matter as much the amount of people that agree to follow and enforce them. I remember taking about his “jokes” about removing presidential term limits to a friend who thought I was being crazy. He would absolutely install himself as dictator until he died. Thankfully that wouldn’t be too long, but then we would all have to deal with the degradation of his gene pool that is his sons. The biggest problem out of the many problems with electing an 80 year old narcissist is that he knows he’s on the way out so he will happily burn down the whole of civilization with him. If he was going to live 40 more years he’d probably lean more toward the republican status quo just out of self preservation.
