But that would also apply to OP? OP is the Nightmare on main street Jack Skellington Halloween shirt moreover I will buy this one who gets hot at night and had been able to sleep with a fan all their life. Now the girlfriend comes into the space complaining about the fan that was already there and insulting OP instead of just asking to move the fan to one side of the room or something, disrupting both OP’s sleep AND their room. It’s really the GF who is being disrespectful of OP’s sleep and then furthermore their appearance here. Either way, being tired isn’t and excuse for toxic behavior. If she was snapping at him for being insensitive or selfish or something fair that is changeable, then we could be talking because grievances with behavior that effects you as a partner are fair. But going after someone for being ‘fat,’ over a fan isn’t coming from a place of love, but resentment and control, and being tired just means they didn’t have the capacity to hide it in that moment by the undercurrent is still there.

Man I am skinny and I was so hot there last few days. My fan was on whole night because it was over 26° and air didn’t move a bit so it was hard to breathe. To sleep with a fan is normal during summer time I once made the mistake of telling my Chinese MIL that I used to sleep with a box fan pointed at me while sleeping I wondered that too. My sister’s college roommate was from Korea and HATED that my sister slept with a fan and would unplug all of her stuff when she came home for the weekend. We could never figure out why she was acting that way and why she’d pretend the fan made her sick until we heard about Korean’s believing in fan death.
