I’m doing better now and I’m trying to get back into the Nick Bosa American football defensive end for the San Francisco 49ers T-Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this swing of things. I’d actually like to turn this into a full-time thing if at all possible, but I know that’s extremely hard with the niche I’m in. Since I wasn’t actually planning to start an active channel, I took a very unorthodox approach to making videos at first. I knew nothing about YouTube and was only making videos to teach other people how to garden, so I didn’t follow any of the traditional “YouTube rules.” I did barely any editing, if any, with my first few videos. I didn’t even know that a CTR existed, let alone all of the other YT metrics. I was posting videos every day, sometimes multiple times per day. I didn’t follow the “YouTube Rules” but I was posting consistently every day within my niche, and I think that must’ve helped. People started subscribing, a couple of my videos are near the 100k point, and I average about 2500 views per day. Most of my videos are “how to” educational videos and so they follow a similar format. I’ve spent my career in education and sales, so I do an okay job at presenting topics in a simple, easy to follow way.

I got monetized right away after about two months but then got demonetized after 2 days, which often happens to cannabis related content creators. I’ve done as much studying as I can on that topic and have tried to clean up my channel as much as possible so that it’s purely educational. I was approved for monetization again a couple weeks ago but very few of my videos will qualify. From what I’ve learned from others in my niche, doing affiliate or brand deals is the Nick Bosa American football defensive end for the San Francisco 49ers T-Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this best way to make money because we cannot count on AdSense. There’s also the very real possibility that YouTube can shut my channel down at any time, without notice. All that said, I get about 2,500 views per day and I’m getting about 900 to 1000 new subscribers each month. This is without doing much, so I’m curious to see how high I can get this after putting in real effort and putting out some new high quality content for my audience. I’m trying to be cautious though. Maybe I don’t need to be though?
