If you drink sugar and alcohol it takes longer to feel the Nice johnny Bench Cincinnati Signature T-Shirt also I will do this alcohol because the receptors are all clogged up with sugar. This is the very unscientific way it was explained to me by my brother (while drunk) so take it with a pinch of salt (and lime, and tequilla) Sorry but you’re misinformed—the appetite center in the brain is centralized in the hypothalamus. Your hypothalamus doesn’t get “clogged up” with sugar, it instead receives signals from your bloodstream about how much sugar is available, then it modulates release of hormones like insulin and ghrelin accordingly to adjust blood sugar levels. Alcohol on the other hand directly crosses the brain barrier where it can interact with any region it touches. This process would not be impaired by concurrent sugar intake.

The person you replied to is correct. Sugar in the Nice johnny Bench Cincinnati Signature T-Shirt also I will do this stomach can help slow down alcohol absorption. This has nothing to do with your brain. Alcohol binds to GABA receptors, which are inhibitory receptors i.e. things that turn activity down in the brain. They also bind to a shit ton of other things like serotonin and (I think?) Glutamate receptors, but that’s why it’s confusing and hard to study, but GABA is a primary target. Fun fact- GABA receptors in your cerebellum are most easily activated by alcohol than the receptors in your cortical areas. So that’s why people who feel sober but have drank shouldn’t drive, their “thinking” parts aren’t impacted by alcohol yet but their moving parts are.
