I would make my own lasagna, bread my own chicken, etc. but I’m using premade sauce, premade pasta, shake and bake, etc! I think the NHL Chicago Blackhawks Snoopy Charlie Brown Christmas Hockey Super Bowl Sports Shirt Furthermore, I will do this folks that I’m comparing myself to just have a lot more money than me and DoorDash everything I’m swedish and we cook a lot from scratch. No jarred sauces for spaghetti, chicken nuggets or the like. We dont use cake mix for birthday cakes or campbells soups for casseroles. It is cultural. Premade food or takeout/restaurants are fairly expensive so there is a lot of cooking at home. I have lived in the US for ten years, as a SAHM in Suburbia, and I can say that when I made a quiche from scratch, including the crust, all of my friends were impressed. For me it was normal. In Sweden we don’t have a cooked breakfast meal. It is usually yoghurt and cereal or open sandwiches with cheese and sliced cucumbers. Maybe a boiled egg.

this sounds ideal honestly. i’m guessing you incorporate veggies/fruits/etc? i’m a goblin so trying to figure out how to sustainably feed myself every night lmao This sounds like me! For pizza I love getting the NHL Chicago Blackhawks Snoopy Charlie Brown Christmas Hockey Super Bowl Sports Shirt Furthermore, I will do this frozen Texas toast and pizza toppings and making little pizzas! The ingredients are so cheap and it makes so much! I just flat out don’t have time to make things like bread or pasta from scratch. Butter, tomato sauce, broth, or like 99% of the items outside the produce department could be made from scratch, but people have better ways to spend their time. I make egg noodles for family holidays only, and in a big enough batch that it’ll last at least two holidays. So I make noodles roughly once a year. The only reason I do it is because that’s what my great grandmother did for years, and I was lucky enough to have memorized her “recipe” before she passed and now I do it to feel close to her. But it is so freaking time and space consuming, and frankly I don’t notice a difference in taste from store bought egg noodles.
