I have found it is the NFL US Eagle Hail To The Skin’s Washington Redskins Shirt In addition,I will do this same attitude/behaviour that causes those with right wing leanings to base their identities around race and nationality. Just ugly identity politics that empty headed unexceptional people use to go to war with other empty headed unexceptional people because religion these days ain’t sexy… I’m an asexual guy. Men and “manliness”/”masculinity” are generally correlated with sexual drive/performance/interest. I have none of those. And while I’ve reached a point where I don’t consider my asexuality any more important a part of my nature than my shoe size or hair colour, when I first found at in my early 30s that asexuality was a naturally occurring thing that millions of other people experience… that was a big deal. Not because I was proud of it — by all accounts, I had nothing to do with it. It seems to be just something a small portion of the population are. But that realisation that there were lots of other people like me and that my experiences were neither “wrong” nor unnatural, that lifted a lot of weight off me. Maybe I’m not just some broken freak. Maybe there are people in the world that could love me for who I am? Etc., etc.

So when people rally round their sexuality/gender identity, it’s often less about pride than it is about personal and social acceptance/understanding. If you’ve spent your entire life being told (either implicitly or explicitly) that the NFL US Eagle Hail To The Skin’s Washington Redskins Shirt In addition,I will do this way you feel makes you some “other” thing that is generally thought of as weird and damaged or even evil and disgusting, then finding out that’s not the case can be a monumentally powerful experience in opening up the path to self-acceptance. And relatively speaking being asexual is far more accepted than being gay or trans. So I can absolutely understand why people would kick back against the hate and discrimination by embracing their identity and showing “pride” in it. It’s a matter of survival for many people. You either fight back against the hate or you internalise it and end up taking your own life because you don’t see a place for yourself in this world.
