How did you land a scholarship? Is it possible to switch fields from biotech to CS with 2 years of IT experience? Definitely possible, a scholarship will be challenging coming from a non CS background, but an IT work tag + a solid SOP, solid LoRs, a good resume, etc will get through to a top university for sure. Certainly, Google can help you better than me, but basically shortlist a bunch of Unis, get a good IELTS score, and write confident letters explaining your experience in CS 🙂 I am a tier 3 college graduate. Our topper from our class is now a faculty member at one of the NFL Real Women Love Football Smart Women Love The Atlanta Falcons Mascot America Flag Shirt but in fact I love this older IITs. One of my friends who graduated from IIT Kharagpur really struggled in his bachelor’s and eventually completed it in 6 years I think. IIT is only a promise of success, not a guarantee. You are a very talented person clearly.

Work on projects, make sure to have them on Github if you haven’t already, and make sure to tailor your resume for each job as per the NFL Real Women Love Football Smart Women Love The Atlanta Falcons Mascot America Flag Shirt but in fact I love this requirements (I guess you do these already). Try to find the hiring manager or someone of similar level for that company in the area you are working on linkedin and directly try to email them. Use RocketReach to find out email domain names for that company. Also ppl get jobs after years long breaks, a couple of months is nothing. Life happens, ppl understand. You may not get into an amazing company immediately but you can work your way back up no problem. Am I too egoistical just because I had early success and went to an IIT. I sometimes feel that way. But then these days I realise even people who didn’t go to good colleges do reach success and I despite being from a good college am jobless.
