Wow, Reddit wants to make money. Who would have thought you getting this service for completely free without seeing any ads, would make them do this? People, they are in business from making money. You are preventing them from doing that. Seriously, you can fuck right off. Reddit isn’t making any money off you anyway. You have no bargaining power here. So do what all of you are saying, leave this site for someone more altruistic that doesn’t mind losing money on you, until they do, and you can find a new platform. Bandwidth and servers are not free. Are people really using specialized apps just to browse this site without ads instead of installing an ad blocker that blocks ads everywhere? On mobile? Yes, absolutely. Long ago, Reddit didn’t have an official mobile app. Several third parties created apps for iOS and for Android to fill that void. One of the New York Rangers Mika Zibanejad Hockey shirt in other words I will buy this most popular ones, Alien Blue, was bought by Reddit and was the basis for the official Reddit app. The other third-party apps have since grown and thrived. Besides the ability to remove ads, most of them have ways to customize and personalize the UI, and most are widely considered to be superior to the official Reddit app in useability and readability. (I want to be clear I think its dumb to charge at all, seeing as the whole platform can only be a thing by self posted content and self moderation) BUT if we are going to charge.. at the end of the day using the API gets you around ads. Just like ANY site chargering for an ad free version, based on the calculations, Apollo themself said its only about $2-3 per users. (compare that to youtube premium, twitch turbo, or ANY of these kinda of things)

is it a dumb move? YES. is it ” Overcharging” i dont think it really is when you look at the New York Rangers Mika Zibanejad Hockey shirt in other words I will buy this logistics of what giving the API really is

1. Length is measured from the highest point on the collar down to the bottom hem. 2. Width is measured across the body of the shirt under the armpits, one way. 3. Sleeves are measured from center back to hem.
