Exactly! It will be up to the New Poster For Matthew Vaughn’s Argylle Henry Cavill John Cena Samuel L Jackson Dua Lipa Shirt But I will love this poll workers to decide who does and does not have to take a literacy test. I guarantee you those poll workers would be instructed to demand non-MAGA folks be handed a test before getting a ballot. Then they’ll be instructed to score it a failure unless they learn they accidentally tested a MAGA. Yeah wtf are these two thinking. I guess “thinking” might be an overstatement for what is going there. Considering the GOP’s official stance on education is “book learnin’ bad,” I don’t think that would turn out too well for them lol. Literacy and competency tests can be very easily manipulated. And absolutely will be when you have explicitly partisan voting commissions in charge of things. They did this in the South after the Civil War. You had to pass a literacy test… but they knew their white constituents were illiterate, so the rule was “you have to pass a literacy test… unless your grandfather was eligible to vote.” Boom, carve out for illiterate white people.

Nah it’ll be like the New Poster For Matthew Vaughn’s Argylle Henry Cavill John Cena Samuel L Jackson Dua Lipa Shirt But I will love this literacy tests back when they used them to prevent black people from voting. Just don’t have white folks do em because they can prove their literacy without a test, but make black people and any other likely Democrat voter do it. It wouldn’t. The Republican Party would just build a caveat exempting their voters from taking the test. It’s so blatantly obvious that the Republicans are mad that the younger generations aren’t falling in line with their Christo-Fascist beliefs. Some self-righteous boomer is going to suggest making the test be done in cursive or something like using a rotary phone or driving a stick or another obsolete skill they are so proud of. We 50 year olds are middle of GenX, we grew up through massive technology and strict college / school requirements. We’ll ace this shit.
