That would be very generous of you, but IMO this is their fault. We need more kindness in this world! It would be NICE to tip extra, but not expected. This isn’t a normal route they would have to take, so it’s not something you caused here, though if you feel so inclined giving an extra tip would make that dasher happy of course.

There’s all kinds of issues with it, especially when the area is weird. DD doesn’t give a shit, either. Only you know your town, if there could have been an illegal U turn she could of made to save time then I would say no if the road is strictly a one way lane then I would say yes. At least this was during the day time and she likely got to see a scenic route along the drive had it been at night those roads would be pitch black. If the road is empty I’ll just do a u-turn. Otherwise I just pull into someone’s house/business and turn around should you tip someone extra for terrible performance resulting in a waste of your time and a lower quality product after already giving more than they deserve for such a short drive? probably not, but maybe that’s just my common sense talking. If their courteous enough to offer to go get me fresh food after that detour sure they can get a bigger tip. I’m not going to tip more however for cold food just because you miss a turn. You don’t even necessarily have to actually go get a fresh order. Just be nice enough to offer. Hell no. If they can’t work a gps then that’s her fault. $7 for two miles is fair. Plus they usually get double orders in the area anyways. I see you’ve already tipped an extra $10 so my answer is moot. But still, hell no! Being nice would be NOT decreasing the tip. Why tip the dude extra for late food but not the dude who got it there on time?
