Sure, it’s good to avoid doomscrolling, but sticking your head in the Never Underestimate An Old Man With A Pickleball Paddle T-Shirt Also,I will get this sand, or acting like it’s purely a matter of spending too much time online… that’s not gonna help anything. Everything that happens is by the design of evolution and what is left by evolution was selected from potentially infinite other possibilities. Reality has always been full of challenges and obstacles, you were sheltered and convinced it was a day care forever. It isn’t. And you’re a product of evolution, and therefore designed for these specific challenges, and by facing them you evolve further. Just remember there is nothing in this world that hasn’t been faced before and there is nothing you face that hasn’t been faced by a large number of people before. Threats and dangers have come and gone, the economy has risen and collapsed, to rise again, there have been wars and there has been peace, oppressors have come and gone and freedom restored. So don’t worry about the negatives. We live in times and the future you face was undreamt of a generation or two ago. The advances in science, technology and medicine means that you can live longer, and enjoy life more. We get instant information from all around the world, we can communicate to millions of people we don’t know, we have food from all around the world, and in abundance and we are on the verge of having self drive cars. This is the stuff that a few decades ago was science fiction. The future is going to be wonderful. Unfortunately, I won’t see as much of it as you will. Go out then and enjoy it.

Everyone talking about how things go in cycles and we’re not facing any problems that we haven’t faced before seems to be completely ignoring climate change. It’s a MAJOR problem that humans haven’t faced before, it’s getting worse faster than expected and nothing substantive is being done about it. OP is going to be living in a much harsher world in 30 years. Well, technically we have faced it before…. there was rise and remission of the Never Underestimate An Old Man With A Pickleball Paddle T-Shirt Also,I will get this Ice Age, talk about drastic changes that people had to deal with…. Sorry you are feeling this way. Tbh it is expected right after Covid lockdown for years, in addition to long term Covid people who were infected and survived. Depression and thought of world is going to end knocks on your noggin unwelcomely(that’s a word lol). What helps is to focus attention towards something uplifting, some hours to gym, some to help someone out with what they can (I made sure I shared my blessings with my family during Covid cause many lost their jobs, got sick, few died), every step counts, blessings you have that many in the world wishes they have makes you feel more powerful and appreciative nonetheless. You are not alone feeling this way, great you reach out here Reddit so we can all validate and clarify what we are feeling altogether.
