Whether it’s pointing out the different Instagram personalities (the screenwriter posting stories of his final draft script open on his laptop, the girl whisper-singing one sentence in her bedroom pretending it’s a full song), writing the new rules of shit-talking, or discussing how to be deal with being the new girlfriend, David is critical of her generation’s social behavior as a willing participant; she never feels too good for it. “Everyone on social media is a fraud trying to get someone to see a particular quality in them.”
