If she doesn’t want to be there anymore then it is what it is cause at the Never underestimate an old man El Camino looks like lover’s to drive shirt and I will buy this end of the day shes there for herself I thought Adore said she’d turned All Stars down when the show kept calling and just told her assistant to say yes. She wasn’t bothered about it and wasn’t in the best place anyway personally. Part of me wondered if she thought it was going to be easier? And when she realized it was still an actual competition decided nope, I’m out? Regardless, she did the best thing for herself & that’s the important part. I support her leaving because her being there would make AS2 TOO DAMN STAR PACKED I mean the universe COULD NOT HAVE HANDLED IT I know I couldn’t have Her drag wasn’t up to par when she compared it unpacking with the other girls. She felt insecure and the talent show reception humbled her. Going in as most followed drag queen to then having critiques made her suffer. Yes she struggled with well being and that’s why she quit but she also quit because she didn’t want to lose. Honestly, because you asked— I hate questions like this. “What do you think about Adore’s departure?” “What do you think about Naomi Osaka’s departure?” We all know people sign onto contracts and expectations when they sign onto anything, because #capitalism. So we end up seeing overdramatized “justifications” of them leaving. Meanwhile, not only do they have to deal with the public (and what we see is heavily censored and edited), but they have to deal with their own legal bullshit on top of it. People leaving situations like this are doing it because, despite their legal obligations, financial fallouts, and public persona fallouts— they decided to do so because their mental health was in jeopardy. They had to accept a TON of negative, tangible, financial, fallout— for the understandable trade of their mental health. They are so overwhelmed that they don’t see any other possible option. Meanwhile, society is casually discussing their leave as if it’s just a show. Because it is, right? “RuPaul’s Drag Race is highly produced, and these queens should know that before entering the competition.” Okay, cool. Sure. That makes sense on paper. But these are actual people, not characters in some animated tv show. And as someone who has struggled with mental health myself — WITHOUT the crazy obsession and eyes from literally THE WORLD— we gotta give these queens some grace.
Never underestimate an old man El Camino looks like lover’s to drive shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt
Y’all are truly wild. Just let Adore be. Sure it’s tv, but when people leave their contractual obligations, they are breaking the Never underestimate an old man El Camino looks like lover’s to drive shirt and I will buy this fourth wall. It’s no longer “just TV.” It’s truly legal at this point. And the victims’ well-being is the lowest priority from the business execs. The producers want you to feed into the narrative, but the individuals? Think about their well-being. They are people. I am aware this comment is giving very “that’s a lot for safe” energy, but I’m just needing to vent. So tired of seeing shit like this. Not trying to be snarky, just trying to understand the issue you have with this type of question. Are you saying the viewers shouldn’t have any thoughts or opinions about something on tv? Talk about everything , but there should be acknowledgment of this aspect, there has been so much bashing of Heidi regarding rumours.
