In my country (Israel) masks are not longer mandated, and in all honesty as someone with glasses I’d prefer not to wear the Never Underestimate A Woman Who Understands Baseball And Loves Astros Shirt also I will do this mask. I am not. I haven’t been for a while. I was briefly wearing one again because my job required it when I started, but a few weeks in the CDC changed their guidelines so we didn’t have to anymore. No because no place around me enforces it anymore and all I ever wore was the fabric kind which I’m convinced don’t work anyway. Nope. They don’t work unless we were wearing masks with perfect seals and were perfectly maintained with filters and clean rooms. Which no one is going to do. I just cant take that anymore, its spring and my pollen allergy kicks in super often and a mask doesnt make me breath better I’m so fucking done with my glasses steaming up every time I enter inside a closed space, I don’t care if I still have to wear the mask on the buses but not everywhere else (ITA), I won’t wear it period. I’m vaccinated, got covid once already and it doesn’t scare me. I mask my disabilities all the time. You didnt say what type of mask. Masking is hiding a part of yourself. To make nt happy. No, ever since the mandate ended in my country, about 2 weeks ago. My immune system is good (I am almost never sick, and when I am, it’s not bad), I’m vaxxed and I got covid (which was less than a cold for me), so I like my chances of not catching it again, and not passing it to others, especially since the covid rates are going down in my country. If it ever gets bad again and the mandate will return, I’ll obviously (but sadly) wear it again. I love not being with a mask after 2 long years.
