Police can’t detain him indefinitely without him being sentenced so I’m sure he’ll be out a bail again. Another reason is its a long process to even get an investigation started. Your local police has to find evidence that the call originated in India and approach Indian police. If they can’t narrow it to India a case won’t even be registered. Indian police can’t start an investigation without evidence that perpetrators are located in the country.
