They get the Never dreamed grow up be a super sexy tennis lady here i am killing it T-Shirt Besides,I will do this dollar, donate it to charity, and put the donation in their own name, so they can get the tax credit. Your donation goes to their corporate tax write off. Basically you are helping that corporation pay down their taxes. Plus it’s a free goodwill gesture for them, AND they get the tax deduction that you would gave gotten if you donated the money directly Not to mention the corporation gets a tax break for the money it’s got it’s customers to donate. Basically you are just giving them more money. Always say no. They want my money and a tax break that goes with it. Donate directly to charities not through taco fucking bell. Besides the tax advantage a lot of people mentioned, it also gives them the opportunity to write a press release bragging about all the money they donated. To be fair. Alot of times these big corporations have already made the donation. And are just asking you to cover the cost of it. Still shitty. But a DIFFERENT shitty. It’s a scam for the companies to get a tax right off. Never give when they ask you. If you want to donate donate directly to the charity yourself

They get the Never dreamed grow up be a super sexy tennis lady here i am killing it T-Shirt Besides,I will do this write off for donating tens of thousands that were given to them .30-1$ at a time and they get the break. If you want to donate do it in person. Because this way, you give them $20, then they donate it to the poor, then they get to use your $20 as a tax write off for themselves. See, they get a tax write off at your expense. Oh, you’ve partnered with a charity? Why dont you make that charity obsolete by using 10% of your annual profit and just fixing the problem today. Dicks. These checkout guilt trips are used by corporations to offset income and get a tax break. Your donation makes the company more profitable first and then gets donated to the charity. Get the corporate fuckbois out of the equation and donate directly yourself. You make sure it goes exactly where you want, not some preselected charity, and YOU get that tax break. And then they turn around and take the money you donated and they donate it and then they use it as a tax write off to avoid paying taxes Literally had this conservation earlier. Why is Walmart asking me to donate to help fight hunger? You’re a multi-billion dollar company and I’m a broke college student. Why is Amazon asking me to help Ukraine? I’m a broke college student & you are one of the BIGGEST companies in the fucking world. You do it. Don’t do this. If you’re going to donate, do it yourself. Corps can count your donations as tax write offs. This should be illegal.
