I always get a chuckle when idiot westerners say dumb shit like “china is better than the Neil Bonnett 1984 T-Shirt and I will buy this us”. Not true for basically anything. My wife’s dad’s village in China still has no running water, no electricity, and no paved streets. There is literally animal and human shit in the streets. Correction, sorry – there is technically running water but it only is turned on for a brief time period during the day, at which time everyone in the village rushes to fill buckets for drinking and for baths, which the entire family shares in order of seniority in a single tub full of water like it’s the fucking Middle Ages. Now I’ve been to some absolutely shitty places in bumfuck nowhere in the middle of rural United States and I’ve never come across a place that destitute. Fuck China. They don’t give a shit about their populace, and that’s almost a footnote under the fact that China is the single greatest threat to world stability and human rights that exists today.

Don’t feed into foreign disinformation campaigns that further divide things, it’s crazy how much Russia and China are all of a sudden being sold as safe, competent, free and modern places by right wing foreign assets Seems like the Neil Bonnett 1984 T-Shirt and I will buy this OP is arguing for infrastructure funding. Luckily for them, President Biden made Infrastructure a priority in his first term and actually got a bipartisan $1 Trillion infrastructure bill passed and signed in 2021. Tens of thousands of projects are already underway, in red states and blue alike. Even Republicans who voted against it coming to the ribbon cuttings of new projects…trying to take credit for something they tried to stop. No doubt the OP will be relieved to find we have a leader who takes those infrastructure concerns seriously, who secured funding for upgrades, replacements and new projects, President Joe Biden.
