I was going to say this. In many countries, in order to be a qualified Chinese language teacher (sometimes even at university) you only need an A2 level. To make this clear, A2 in English is comparably knowing the NCAA Georgia Bulldogs Snoopy Bring The Heat 2024 Shirt and I love this numbers, alphabet, weather, and basic conversation like where you live, what you like, etc. Literally kid stuff. The reason for this is because learning Chinese is just that difficult, so the bar for entry is super low. There’s no comparison between the languages. Yep and the guy in the video in question can competently speak specific dialects and accents depending on who he’s speaking to, hence the reactions he gets in his videos. It’s not that he speaks them perfectly, he doesn’t ever say that he does himself, he just does to a level where bystanders are shocked that an overtly white guy can do so. There’s so many clowns in this comment section below lol.

It’s different than what the NCAA Georgia Bulldogs Snoopy Bring The Heat 2024 Shirt and I love this “clever comeback” is implying. It would be more applicable if a Chinese guy went into a crawfish place in Louisiana and started ordering in English, with a cajun or creole accent. And to clarify, its not that he’d just be speaking in a Creole language, but he’d be using the full [hybrid] Creole language + idioms and from what I remember from the Chinese that commented on his accent, it was identifiable but extremely impressive. I think he does some videos where he phones a language teacher and some of them didn’t know he wasn’t a native. Language company Babbel reports that Mandarin is the most difficult language to learn for native English speakers It’s because of the tones. Being able to say completely different things by using different intonation on words means you’re going to be saying bullshit to actual Mandarin speakers if you don’t get the pronounciation near perfectly. Given both are Chinese dialects, they are very similar. Except, Mandarin has 4 tones, Cantonese has more than double that at 9. If you have trouble with Mandarin because of the different tones, you’ll cry yourself to sleep trying to learn Cantonese. Chinese don’t have that, you just have to remember l each and every character. If you come across something you’ve never seen before, well, you can’t pronounce it.

It actually has 44 phonemes since some letters like long and short vowels, and then there are paired letters to make different sounds like C, H, and Ch. chinese writing is difficult to read, yes, but chinese has WAY less phonemes than English. there is strict limit to which sounds are chinese and which arent. If you’d actually watch this NCAA Georgia Bulldogs Snoopy Bring The Heat 2024 Shirt and I love this dude’s videos, you’d know he speaks obscure dialects perfectly. Not just “Chinese”, like local dialects that even other Chinese people have trouble with. That’s not true at all, why would you say that? He speaks regional dialects quite poorly, and only really on a very surface level. Chinese people don’t have trouble speaking those dialects, they just don’t speak those dialects at all because they have no reason to. Practically everyone that speaks those dialects speak them pretty fluently.

He is very good at learning languages on a basic level in a short period of time, and that’s something to be proud of. Still, I don’t know why you would claim he speaks obscure dialects perfectly when he doesn’t even speak Mandarin perfectly, especially when it comes to tonality and accent. There are foreigners like Rose from Uganda who arguably speak better Mandarin than he does and she never even claims to speak “Perfect Chinese” Edit: Also, my wife, who only speaks Chinese at a B2 level has people telling her how good her Chinese is and how they couldn’t tell that she was European all the NCAA Georgia Bulldogs Snoopy Bring The Heat 2024 Shirt and I love this time lol I had to see this for myself and yeah, that is a hardcore gringo accent. Like almost no effort whatsoever in learning pronunciation.

About this NCAA Georgia Bulldogs Snoopy Bring The Heat 2024 Shirt

He doesn’t spend a very long time learning a language before making a video. I think the NCAA Georgia Bulldogs Snoopy Bring The Heat 2024 Shirt and I love this exception is his mandarin and Cantonese Plus it helps that he studied in Beijing for a year and is married to a Chinese woman so he has more reason to speak it regularly. He never said he was good at it, the only language he usually remarks being fluent in is Chinese. For most new languages, he’s been practicing for a few weeks or month. The fact that he can get through real conversations, even if painfully so, is admirable. The people on the receiving end also generally always appreciate the gesture and dedication to something close to their hearts. He loves learning new languages and cultures. He showcased a small and wonderful part of Cambodian people and culture, and that’s how you react? Gross. I just looked up his YouTube channel, and honestly I find him insufferable and annoying. Nothing is sincere and everything from his titles to thumbnails is all click bait and why does he keep setting himself as this “white dude proving haters WRONG!” I watched the video on him learning neopolitan. There’s very little cultural education. He’s just talking to people while candidly filming them with a fish eyed lense. The more you guys try and defend him, the more I hate him. Can you imagine visiting a remote native tribe in South America after supposedly learning their language and then asking them NOTHING worthwhile? Jesus shit in my mouth and call me a stupid bitch. The absolute lack of critical thinking from you all.
What do you mean he never said he was good at it, the NCAA Georgia Bulldogs Snoopy Bring The Heat 2024 Shirt and I love this video in the OP is literally him saying he speaks chinese perfectly, and there are other videos where the title is along the lines of ‘speaks blah flawlessly’. People dont like clickbait, what is new. I don’t get the level of hate you’re receiving let alone these people so virulently defending a stranger. This comment section is fascinating. I acknowledge that he is much better at language learning than I am. I think what he has accomplished is very impressive. I directly said that it’s something to be proud of in the comment that you responded to, so I’m not sure where you’re getting that from. But, I don’t see what any of that has to do with lying about someone’s fluency. Just say he’s fluent in 8 languages and speaks 50-60 at a basic level then? Why lie and say he speaks obscure dialects perfectly?
For what it’s worth, I’m communicating with you in my fourth language right now, and I’m fluent in one more. Except I would be a massive douchebag if I implied that would make you jealous of me, wouldn’t I? Motherfucker you don’t even speak the NCAA Georgia Bulldogs Snoopy Bring The Heat 2024 Shirt and I love this one language you know well enough to make this comment. It should be “guy’s” and sentences end with periods. Motherfucker you don’t even speak the one language you know well enough to make this comment. It should be “guy’s” and sentences end with periods. Buddy you have the IQ of a warm breeze. Keep trying to assert your intelligence and enjoy your shift at Wendys tomorrow morning! Stfu you pedantic troglodyte. You couldn’t form an intelligent, cohesive sentence if you were smacked in your ugly gob with an Oxford dictionary. It’s the internet, I don’t need to use proper punctuation at every moment Dipshits on this comment thread have been riding his ass like it owes them money. I for one welcome this outburst. He’s earned it The comment on the video isn’t even equivalent. Did the asian guy order in english at a mcdonalds in asia, to a foreigner/american working the register? I’d wager that it would be pretty impressive in those circumstances. OP’s dumb AF comparing American English to several Chinese dialects the streamer is able to pull off. OP probably failed Spanish ffs.
