If it was an oppn govt, president’s rule would have been there after a week only and Amit Shah would be doing photo ops there once the army would have calmed things down. Already outsiders are somehow getting involved. It’s anybody’s guess who benefits from this. The tribal Manipuris are being called names in their own state – infiltrators, terrorists, illegal immigrants and whatnot, whereas the terrorist Arambol group members are being refered to as civilians. It might not help in the long run but Manipur is the state with the highest number of presidential rule, the last one being in 2001 when meitei attacked naga houses. But it was a success and restored peace. Even if it won’t succeed, it will reduce the number of lives of defenders from each sides Yes. Immediately public order should be restored with iron fist. But somehow people of India ( not of NE side of India) don’t like public order. Go in my recent comments, im discussion on the same issues.
