You could take an online class in something you have interest in. Or to be honest I’ve met my closest friends through work. As other people have said, clubs based on hobbies you enjoy would be a good one. For me there’s kayaking clubs, weekly book club meet ups, etc etc The reason I say Reddit or your nan’s is that you’ve given nothing to work with. Don’t you have any hobbies? Anything you like to do, anything to work off at all? Fleeson and Gallagher (2009) found that extraverts regularly behave in an introverted way, and introverts regularly behave in an extraverted way. Indeed, there was more within-person variability than between-person variability in extraverted behaviours. The key feature that distinguishes extraverts and introverts was that extraverts tend to act moderately extraverted about 5–10% more often than introverts. From this Myles Turner American professional basketball player for the Indiana Pacers T-Shirt also I will do this perspective, extraverts and introverts are not “fundamentally different”. Rather, an “extravert” is just someone who acts more extraverted more often, suggesting that extraversion is more about what one “does” than what one “has”.

I highly recommend joining a bookclub. The one I go to is really informal and you can have a drink and chat about whatever – it isn’t strictly book related but we always have a little go over everyone’s opinion of the Myles Turner American professional basketball player for the Indiana Pacers T-Shirt also I will do this book we’ve read. It’s a decent option also cos it gets you to read, which is another great activity to do with your evenings if there’s nothing social going on. Aside from that, I’m a big fan of the solo cinema trip / gig / DJ set. You can always go online and see if there’s any meet-up groups that do these things. Another avenue is City Socialiser. I’ve not used before but heard it is great for meeting folk. You could take up a new hobby such as indoor bouldering. Most gyms will have “socials” which are really good for new climbers too.
