That literally translates to “Christ of chalice of tabernacle” – the worst Quebecois swearing is all related to Catholicism.

I love the My teacher Survived 100 Days of Me Apple Valentines Day T-Shirt but in fact I love this Swedish word “lagom”. It means “just enough” or “just so”. But it’s more than that, if you are asked how much you want of something you can reply with “lagom” and the other person will understand how much you meant with that. Lagom is not showing off, lagom is just right, it’s comforting, and even though it should be subjective, other Swedes figure out just how much your lagom is! In Spain we have the saying “Quien se pica ajos come”, it roughly translates to “if it itches you, it’s because you eat garlic” and we say it when you seem overly distressed/angry about a thing we said, it means it is true. Okay, My First language is Spanish and this isnt necessarily something we Spanish speakers do, but hear me out since English is a franken language that borrows words from everywhere You guys should borrow the Word “chanclas” to refer to “really ugly flops” Bestemmie. in Italian (especially in certain regions) possibly really harsh insults to god and the divine are used as swears, but like, SwearExtraDeluxe+++ even though they are slowly being more and more used. whenever I speak English I mourn my possibility to express frustration by insulting god himself
