Oh and said science friend wants to move to another school but is so tied by her work and heart strings to the My Pet Makes Breakfast What About Your Pet Chicken Egg T-Shirt besides I will buy this school she has no doubt it’d collapse without her. This is pretty much black mail and the same black mail the NHS is under. Working hours if not weeks of unpaid for the love of the job. Its a fucking joke. I did. There’s a shortage of permanent positions and most work is supply for teachers who are on long term sick but still on the books. I don’t regret doing it, and I love teaching, I just feel a little cheated by people saying “there’s a shortage of teachers” I did the pre pgce thing years ago. Absolute hell for me. It was good in a enlightening way, but also fuck that.

Hate, hate, HATE the My Pet Makes Breakfast What About Your Pet Chicken Egg T-Shirt besides I will buy this middle-management-CEO-kiss-ass behavior that has led a “normal” workday to now be 7-3, or earlier. Everyone in my office starts work at 6:30. When I first started, they asked what time I’d like to start working, and said I could start any time between 6 and 9:30. Coming from a completely remote job, I said 9:30, doesn’t even matter why but I told them anyway, that’s just what I’m used to, I can structure dinner around being done at 6, that’s when I’d like to work. My manager literally immediately recanted and said “well 9:30 is actually a little late to start” so I said 9. So she repeated again that most people in the office start at 6:30 or 7. I don’t her that’s not in my wheelhouse and again she insisted most people start at 6:30 and wrap up at 3, so there’d be days I’d be working solo for over 2 hours, was I sure I didn’t want to start earlier?
