Because “commotio cordis” is not an injury of the My Perfect Day Wake Up Eat Breakfast Gaming T-Shirt and I will buy this heart muscle, once a spontaneous heart rhythm has been restored, the original heart problem has been resolved. We’ll see his prognosis, but his problem doesn’t seem to be inherent to football. It was just the fluke of hitting him in the right spot at the exact right time during the heart beat to knock it off rhythm. He is very fortunate that it happened where it did because an NFL game has a ton of well trained medical pros on the sideline to get his heart started again while giving him chest compressions and respiration to limit anoxia. The question is whether there was enough anoxia to damage to heart and brain tissues, but given the rapid and highly competent medical intervention, combined with his youth and fitness, he has everything going for him in this recovery. If I recall correctly though, Eriksen was only resuscitated once, and was already conscious when he was taken off the pitch. He therefore didn’t suffer any lasting damage, physically or neurologically. Hopefully Harmin will recover fully, but it sounds like his lungs suffered some damage.Hamlin was also only resuscitated once. His uncle was misinformed when he stated that to the media. And it’s likely his lungs and chest suffered so much damage not from the hit itself, but from the 9+ minutes of brain saving CPR he received. His doctors announced him as “neurologically intact”. Damar is still Damar.I don’t disagree. I don’t know much the athletic trainers make for teams and I’m pretty sure the EMTs that sit in their ambulance are city based, so each salary would differ according to I’m sure a multitude of things. Still though, like when covid hit, we shouldn’t wait to bump up the benefits and monetary wages of healthcare workers. All of them are trained to save lives.EMS is run differently depending on the state/county/municipality you’re in…but it is regularly one of the most low paying jobs in all of healthcare.
My Perfect Day Wake Up Eat Breakfast Gaming T-Shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt
In NY we’ve been fighting to get wages over $20.00 an hour for EMT’s for years and it’s barely happening. On top of that, insurance is usually terrible and there are no retirement options. It’s a very difficulty job to make a career out of. hell in New York we’re not even recognized as an essential service. EMS wages are disgustingly low considering how valuable their care is and how much we pay their employer for their services. There is no reason for EMS to be so underpaid other than greed. The bloated healthcare industry has sucked all of the My Perfect Day Wake Up Eat Breakfast Gaming T-Shirt and I will buy this money out and leaves behind pennies for those who are actually doing the life-saving work.
