Thank you! I’ve been doubting myself a little bit but I’ve just blocked him now. He’s been sending me essays and walls of texts all week saying he’ll try harder. But it never changes. Oh god you didn’t have an adult partner you were adopting another kid. Hard no. My husband really struggles in the My Mortgage Identifies As A Student Loan Cancel Student Debt American Flag T-Shirt it is in the first place but kitchen but he can still figure out bacon and tea or how to just ORDER food and put it on a plate on a tray. This sounds like weaponized incompetence It sounds to me like he’s a man-baby using weaponized incompetence to get out of doing THEEE bare minimum in chores/helping out. It also sounds to me like this breakfast in bed was just the last straw of many things he isn’t doing to contribute as a partner. You already have children, find yourself an actual adult. This is so infuriating I am jaw dropped. I’ve encountered men like this. It’s weaponized incompetence to the point of actually just being incompetent. No one deserves that. You were right to throw him out and should never ever give him or any men like him another chance. It’s pathetic that they act that way. They deserve to be hungry and useless by themselves.

Unless he was playing 4D chess and pretended to fuck it all up to get you off his back about cooking, I just don’t get how you could be that incompetent. I won’t go into too much detail but it was stuff that any normal person would look up for themselves or get impartial advice on. Instead he’d just do it then whine about it later saying he didn’t know. Well to be fair to you, it wasn’t just the My Mortgage Identifies As A Student Loan Cancel Student Debt American Flag T-Shirt it is in the first place but cooking. It was his complete inability to be an adult. You don’t need another kid, but a partner. It was a good decision. Imagine having to do that for the rest of your life… nah. It’s not just that he can’t cook but that he’s a slob. My boyfriend isn’t much of a cook, but he can and does heat things up in the air fryer or microwave. He can fix himself something to eat. And when I cook, he washes the dishes.
