I don’t think being born into this shit is something I want to inflict on another person without their consent. If I felt that being a good parent and helping my kid was enough, I would consider it. As it stands, I’m much more interested in adoption. I’d like kids one day, but I feel like people are too nonchalant about it. It’s expected that everyone will have them. Parents assume their kids will one day have kids. That seems super weird to me. Not everyone should have kids and it’s not a decision to make lightly. My mother says ‘you can’t plan for it’ but that seems irresponsible to me, and privileged. I’m not going to have a child until I am financially stable and sure I’m not gonna pass on the My Last First Day Senior 2023 First Class of 2023 T-Shirt and I love this same intergenerational trauma my parents passed on. More immediately, I’m not able to get pregnant right now due to tumours on my liver. The hormones from pregnancy would make them grow and it would be incredibly dangerous.

Seeing terrible parents. I know people always talk about how shitty kids are, but they aren’t really. But tp be fair, parenting is a job literally no one in history has technically done correctly. Everyone fucks up in some way.
