Just to think about how many people are in the My husband is a pain in the I still love the guy classic shirt but in fact I love this world already that are starving/ living in poverty/ in the foster care system. And the way humans are consumption in todays world is simply unsustainable. I would much rather adopt/foster/care for a human already put on this earth in an unfortunate situation than create another human to add to the overconsumption. If the world were in a different state like the majority of all people having access to sufficient food/education/clean water/health care I believe my opinion would change but I don’t see that happening anytime in the near future. Health: my family has a history of depression, spine problems, heart problems, and the like. I only got a “normal” amount of depression and very mild spine problems, but I’d certainly never wish any of this on anyone. Depression is hell.

Future: I live in a shithole (Mexico), and it is not bound to get any better soon. Doesn’t seem like a good place to raise anybody. Also, there’s a climate crisis incoming, the My husband is a pain in the I still love the guy classic shirt but in fact I love this world is gonna be a really difficult place to live in. The social and economic order is not geared towards happiness but exploitation, I wouldn’t want any children of mine to have to live through that. More people also means worse strain on an already failing ecosystem. Freedom: I like my freedom, I like having the ability to pack up and go somewhere else, or to live off of my savings for two years. I like getting day-drunk with my wife and not sleeping because this book is oh-so-good. I like the ability to be selfish once in a while. Children make all of that impossible, and it would be completely unfair of me to not give them my 100%. So, because of all this, I decided to get a vasectomy 2 years ago (I am now 37).
