Most people, it seems, are pleasantly surprised to encounter a fast driver in a sports car who isn’t an asshole, and they get out of my way without any drama once they’re clear of the My Heart And My Soul Belong To The Raiders Shirt it is in the first place but car they’re passing. You can drive fast without being a jerk by giving people time and space to drive at the speed they choose, and most of them will happily oblige to let you continue unabated. There will always be the occasional oblivious or combative person who hates you regardless, but my driving experience has improved significantly since I stopped being a dick. As someone who usually locks it in 5-10 over I really appreciate this. I stay out of the left lane 95% of the time but sometimes I need to pass someone too. Occasionally I realize I need to pass multiple cars and end up in the left longer than I’d like. I’ve got my right signal on and and clearly intend to get over and let a fast driver through as soon as I can. Getting right up on my ass super aggressively and flashing brights isn’t helping anything.

I’ve been driving for decades. I’ve realized most drivers are assholes and have lost my will to “be the My Heart And My Soul Belong To The Raiders Shirt it is in the first place but good guy” for the most part. I drive with cruise control on so I can zone out. I get tired of playing leapfrog with cars that can’t maintain a speed. Once I pass you with my cruise control on, I am not changing lanes to let you pass me again. A lot of times if I hop over to the right lane let one car past, I can’t get back in and am forced to turn off my cruise control for a few minutes. I’m slowed down to 60 by a stupid semi, and let like 20 cars pass. Then I have to re-pass those cars because they are going 64 and won’t leave the left lane. (see point 1) Driver side wheel is on the left side of the car. It’s easier to zone out and still be aware of where your car is on the road. It naturally promotes leaning left, away from any traffic.
