I often think that too. Any recycles just go in the My Boy Might Not Always Swing But I Do T-Shirt What’s more,I will buy this bin, I recycle as much as I can. But general trash goes into a bag. My trash people won’t take anything not bagged. It’s really a waste but I don’t know the alternative. I guess we need to develop biodegradable trash bags. Same for throwing food in the trash! Food waste needs to be composted if it can be, our soil health is abysmal and it’s literally a key part of us living. Throw those scraps in the dirt instead of wasting them in an anaerobic landfill. There are so many bags people get that they just throw in the trash. I use these as trash bags. Bread bags, toilet paper bags, rice bags, etc. My city also has food waste pick up that does not go in the trash, so that certainly helps. Great point and I use those bags for other stuff. I take my trash to the dump so I think my situation may be different than most. Bottles pay for trash. Recyclables are free. It’s a good system.

In Scotland everyone is obsessed with dog poop bags, black plastic things that are non decomposing. I walk round our local woods and forest and they are everywhere. Surely poops better being out In nature? I understand if it’s on the My Boy Might Not Always Swing But I Do T-Shirt What’s more,I will buy this path but if it’s in bushes and grass it should be left alone I hate seeing black plastic poop bags everywhere, you don’t see people going round picking up deer and fox poop and bagging it Not if you own your own home and go straight to the dump. Cans and bottles pay for trash and recycling is free at the dump. At this point why bother? And really it’s also financial. I’m low income yet own my home and because I’m cheap as fuck. yeah my attitude is pretty similar. for nearly two decades i was vegan, environmentally conscious, vigilant with recycling, resusing, etc Take recycling for example – you can be ruthlessly compliant with ensuring you correctly dispose of all your organic waste, electronic waste, recyclable items, regular trash etc is all according to the council and city guidelines for sustainability and then the whole lot of it ends up dumped in some landfill in China so some stakeholders make a dollar. And also, in a way i feel like i did my bit – when i became vegetarian it was the mid 90s and vegan around 2000. Where i lived at least, back then most people had never even heard the word vegan let alone know what it meant or be actively catering to this lifestyle/diet. Back then if i wanted vegan cream or cheese or so many basic things, i had to make them scratch. I basically couldn’t eat out (restaurants etc) and eating at other people’s places was always awkward. And most of my food intake i really had to either do a lot of preparation to have more complex dishes or eat fairly simple meals.
