I’m glad you’re shoes were rewearable. Mine definitely weren’t unfortunately. Not me, but my mom—she got a custom-made long sleeved red silk dress that she’s been able to rewear for a couple special gala-type events over the years. Not married yet (or even close, lol), but I think I’d do something similar! I got a gray and white hooded cloak on etsy from CapeAndCrown13. I hear you saying “that’s wearable again after?”. Ren faire and also simply not caring. I wore a black ruffled dress from Doen that is fancy, but not a gown. It’s my go to for summer date nights now! I wore a traditional wedding dress but didn’t go too fancy with my shoes: they were gold wedge Kate Spade sandals I got at an outlet. I wore them almost anytime I dressed up until they literally fell apart at an award ceremony this past spring! I keep thinking I will re-wear the dress to an anniversary dinner or something, but who knows. It’s a short dress so not as obviously a wedding dress. I went with a less traditional but still very bridal wedding dress, but I’ve worn my shoes (Dolce Vita Maren sandals) and earrings.
