Fire Giant, Godskin Duo, Malekith, Gideon, hell even Elden Beast to a lesser extent~ all of these bosses shift the focus away from the traditional “dance” of previous series bosses, to being deliberately unfair in not fun ways. It was a bummer given how all the bosses I’ve faced up until Fire Giant I didn’t feel that way about. Hell even Malenia, the “hardest boss in the game” at least felt fair (despite her stupid heal and one-shot capacity). Her moves telegraph reasonably well and her punish-points can be learned and exploited. I don’t feel the same with the bosses I listed above. They just felt… bad to play against~ even at level 175+.

One of the best parts of this game is literally just the sheer amount of skills you can find and use, and it sucks being locked out of them if you get attached to a weapon that doesn’t allow it. The Carian Knight’s Sword is so sick looking and does great damage, but I’m getting tired of using the same ashes of war on it. The other straight swords got no drip so I don’t really want to use them. You can do this actually. Sort by attack power, recently acquired. And you have the choice between ascending or descending order too
