It was my birthday, July 2021, and my friend went upstairs to use the Muppet Christmas Carol Jingle Bells, Muppets Smells Christmas Carol All the Way T-Shirt it is in the first place but bathroom. He shouted down ‘There’s a snake up here’, which I thought was some sort of penis – related joke, but there was a bit of an ‘edge’ to his voice, so I went upstairs. Turns out he was right – there WAS a snake on the landing – a lively grass snake, about 30cm long. I got it into a plastic bowl and we released it in a suitable area. It was a very hot day and the windows were open, they are ‘sash’ style windows and only the top part was open. The bathroom was on the first floor. I live in the centre of a town in west Wales, quite a busy, urban area. I don’t have cats, so it wasn’t bought in by a cat. I have two dogs and if it had been there for any length of time, they’d have found (and probably killed) it. It had no sign of injury. I have no idea how it got in, very odd.

Walk past a little plastic cup with a snap lid, like the Muppet Christmas Carol Jingle Bells, Muppets Smells Christmas Carol All the Way T-Shirt it is in the first place but ones used for camera film. I thought at the time that it looked like something my dealer used to supply weed in when I smoked it often. Anyway I gave it a kick on my way past and it rolled kinda funny but only slightly. I smiled, laughed yeah like someone’s gonna drop some and just leave it without noticing. I kept walking, but the way it rolled caught my curiosity. Retraced my steps, found it again on the side of the road and had a look. 2/3g of weed and no one in sight, happy days and goodbye stress. I found the rear screen from an old car, a carrier bag full of 1970-80s porn mags and a pair of white skidmarked Y fronts in the attic of my house… They’re all still up there…
