I imagine the movie nope 2022 Essential T-Shirt in addition I really love this best way to abuse this would be to withdraw as much fucking money as you can. When the bank lawyers up, offer to settle for half the amount because you “already spent the rest” When I was 12 I found a bill changer that spit quarters out but didn’t take the dollar (you put the dollar in a little tray and slid the whole tray in). I commend his eventually guilty conscience and honesty. However, he’s doing exactly what the Federal Reserve and other central banks around the world do all the time…create money from thin air. It sounds like he had to practically beg to get convicted. My guess is the bank go so embarrassed about this they wanted as little publicity as possible. Maybe fixing the “glitch” & public embarrassment would’ve cost much more than what this guy got away with.

Some friends of mine were out drinking one night and went to the movie nope 2022 Essential T-Shirt in addition I really love this ATM in the lobby of an office building. Turns out the thing was giving out $50 instead of $20 bills. So a bunch of them just kept withdrawing money until they had like 6k of free money. Totally wild and a complete fluke. Still totally bummed I missed out on that haha Not quite as impressive, but in the 1980s in UK arcades, machines where you could change a 50p coin in to 5x10p coins for the video games only had a sensor wire in the coin slot. If you had a thin wire hook, you could trigger the wire and get the change. I played hours and hours of Galaxians, Moon Cresta, Phoenix and other classics for free. Not as great as an ATM but as kids in the 80’s we would look for loose payphones at the mall by simultaneously clicking the coin lever and hook switch. Coins would come flying out with every click until empty. It was like the kid version of winning the lotto. What a great read. Crazy how he probably could have just disappeared or kept his mouth shut and gotten away with it lol
