I feel this. I more closely align to the Motivator believer innovator educator retro teacher shirt and I love this boogeyman the right screams about and I can only look at the politicians on the left with disappointment. I am only old enough to remember three Democrat Presidents, and the pattern has been the same. They are elected with some buzz and excitement, then they fold like a cheap suit in a year when it comes to meaningful progressive issues. It’s discouraging. Same, I wish our politicians were actually as leftist as the GOP says they are, even Bernie isn’t as far left as I’d like That’s the point. Democrats won’t even make good on the pitiful, center-right, neoliberal half-measures they say they support. There is no far left in this country. Dumb, frightened conservatives would be shitting in their literal pants if they had to contend with a real, mainstream far left contingent. The right really really likes co-opting any “leftish” phrases and changing their meaning. For example “woke”. What does it even mean now when they yammer about it constantly? It’s not supposed to be an insult. The latest term they are undermining is “Overton Window”. In the last few weeks I keep hearing this term being used by bigots pretending that it’s moving left in this country instead of right. It’s a very special form of gaslighting to claim something so fucking false. I’m not far left, but being pro-social democracy is basically tantamount to being Stalin’s mustache shavings around these parts, so I’m pretty much already dead if the fascists take control of Congress and the White House anytime soon.

I’m just sick of seeing conservatives drag us ever closer to oblivion. I don’t want to live on Republican Earth, and it would be nice to see conservatives shit themselves when faced with an actual leftist movement and/or party. As an European, I can confirm that the Motivator believer innovator educator retro teacher shirt and I love this Democrats would be center at best if they were a party in our system, with a significant portion leaning to the right Okay, there IS a far left and AOC isn’t one of them believe it or not. They actually attack her on occasion as being too far center. (lol) There certainly is a far left population, but there are no far left politicians working in the government, which I believe is what she was referring too. The American left is powerless and unrepresented in the government.
