Happy mothers day for making me think that I forgot mothers day and I’m a piece of shit son. Also thanks for making me look it up so now I know when it is. Happy Mother’s Day to the Most Likely To Bring Home A Stray Cat Christmas Matching T-Shirt moreover I love this woman who came down the stairs pointing a gun at teenage me every time I got home late from a band performance and had to break in past the chain lock ? My parents are the opposite, they would love if I went out to get some bitches but since they didn’t let me go anywhere I dont’t feel the need to go out…plus I don’t have any friends As a Dane I see all the “curfew”s being brought up and it reminds me these are totally normal in the US and now I remember how fucked up parenting is in the US. Happy mothers day to the woman who sent me to rehab at 13 because I immediately told her my friends older brother let us try a joint at a sleepover. Who called the cops on me because I had never tried coffee before and had way too much at a library event, and thought I was on meth. To the woman who purposefully swapped me schools when I was going to graduate at 16 and had been accepted to MIT, just to keep me around longer. To the woman who wouldn’t sign off on a high-school intership at the Fermilab hadron collider I had filled out the forms for myself and was being considered for, pending parental approval. Both of which my dad who didn’t have custody of me had the money/scholarships/support for. But she never trusted me enough to spend a moment outside of under her watchful eye.

I still went on to be a decent mechanical engineer but it bums me out to think about what sick-ass path I was on that got shut down over and over that dimmed my spirit quite a bit. It was hard enough being a girl doing this, and on top of that her constantly telling me to focus on being pretty instead of smart. Happy mother’s day to the Most Likely To Bring Home A Stray Cat Christmas Matching T-Shirt moreover I love this mom who beat me up and called me a prostitute when I was 14 because she thought my cousin touched me inappropriately. Haha this happened to me too. I was also 22 and making Mac and cheese in my kitchen when the cops arrived. My mother thought I was dead though because I didn’t pick up the phone. She made my dad leave work to look for my body in the nearby park. I disappeared for three weeks at 16. I literally left, went and lived in the woods for three weeks. Went home because I was starving. No one cared. No one even noticed I was gone.
